Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Nudge - Hands Free Reminders on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

The alarm clock on your phone is great for some things, but I found it annoying to have take out the phone and dismiss alarms in some cases, so I wrote this app for a simpler reminder. It speaks your reminder out loud once with no need to dismiss it. Speaks anything you type in, such as "Time to leave for the school bus", or "Feed the dog". It's convenient when you want a reminder, but don't need to dismiss or snooze it.

Touch the "+" to add an entry, enter any text to speak and choose the time and days. Touch the check box to disable an item without deleting it. Long click to delete an item.

No personal data is collected. No battery drain. It has a non-intrusive ad banner (I know, ads are pointless in an app whose sole purpose is that you never have to see it once it is set up.)
