For longer Speed tests use the Active testing tool kit built into the app to script a speed test or a series of tests. Or put the app into drive test mode and run continuous tests that you script on your own. :)

Upload spped test is too short and cannot provide correct and accurate results. LTE max value is 6-7 Mbps instead of 20Mbps.

New tests like video, Web and sms timing and the ability to script them to run while travelling is pretty cool to use during a long drive, and look back on the history after. Loving the Web test especially as you can run it every minute without consuming much data, and the differences from town to town are quite fascinating. Trying to load any site from a rural area can be quite frustrating and this proves it.

About this app

MyMobileCoverage Pro is an advanced version of the MyMobileCoverage App.

MyMobileCoverage lets you build and browse coverage maps, run speed tests, detect outages, dropped calls and automatically contribute coverage data that helps your carrier improve your network.

MyMobileCoverage Pro offers a much broader set of mobile capabilities that will require additional permissions during install.

MMC Pro performs active and passive network tests including:

Active tests: (triggered by the user)

- Video and Audio streaming Testing

- Youtube adaptive streaming Tests

- SMS send and reply time Testing

- Web page load time Testing

- Voice quality Testing (calls and then compares to original voice script)

- Test Scripting (script your own scheduled tests, script your own drive tests)

- Indoor sampling accurately maps coverage without GPS. Run speed tests while you sample!

Passive tests (remotely triggered)

- Passive speed testing (measure throughput from the background)

- travel detection can be used to trigger scripts or aggressively map coverage in new areas when travelling

- automatic speed tests in new areas

MyMobileCoverage Pro allows real users to gather detailed samples when active, maps this information accurately, and then goes idle to conserve the battery. Our technology creates a wide variety of detailed coverage maps using network signal, location, cellid, neighbour cells, data throughput and data states in each sample. MMC Tools allow drill down on our coverage maps to retrieve the original data for further analysis. We work directly with network providers to improve mobile experience.

MMC users are regular people, service technicians, corporate clients, network operators, mobile regulators. Pretty well anyone who relies on, supports or wants to help improve mobile coverage. Find out why!
