I don't know what happened with the latest update, but it now takes 9 minutes to load the app (not hyperbole; finally timed it). Eventually I get into the app and can circulate the water, but what is the point of I have to wait that long for the darn app to load? I have a Google Pixel phone, if that helps with troubleshooting... But please fix!

7/6/21 I finally got around to trying the June 2021 update. Unit still connects to my wi fi, but not show or connect to app. What I found out was needed a factory reset, but did not see the secret fast three touches once you held the button down for 30 sec to confirm you really want a factory reset. Added one more star. I now have my unit showing in my app.

Latest update (6/15/2021) with . 232 firmware and still no google assistant or Alexa skill integration for us Canadians in this 2.0 app. I also see a bunch of null errors in the history with no idea what it means, and the device status is sketchy and untrustworthy compared to the older app which although suffered a slight lag, seemed to be a lot more reliable

This app is pretty bad. Installer did not actually enable the recirculation, and the app just hummed along doing absolutely nothing and crashing. After enabling it on the heater itself, things seemed better

The app is getting better, and I'm trying to use this space to provide feedback to the techs. This release seems to fix the temperature control. Other recent fixes for me include associating a new device, device connection status, and device in use status. Still not working: Google Assistant integration, error code reporting and accuracy of device status page. It would also be helpful if rinnai would take responsibility for the problems with a known problems FAQ page, on the web and in the app.
