I'm happy to be able to open LibreOffice Writer files however after typing everything I needed, went to another app and when I came back the file reloaded and it lost all my work. I ran some more tests and it seems like when I edit a document and then back out it doesn't save the changes. I would recommend putting a "unsaved changes" prompt or something stating we need to export it to a new ODT file each time we need to save our work.

I was hopeful that this would be the Word replacment my Chromebook needs. Unfortunety, it's too glitchy to use. The least of its problems is the lack of a dyslexic friendly font like Veranda. Spell check doesn't have an option to correct mispelled words. Selecting "tools" will freeze the document and the only fix is to close the app, which then freezes part way through closing requiring a reboot to fix. A tutorial would also be nice; there's a lot to take in the first time using it.

Reads and writes Libre/OpenOffice-documents, which is a real advantage if you do not want to be locked in by microsofts mediocre formats, documentation and software. But, to my disappointment, it is trying to imitate Microsofts interface instead of the superior interface of Libre/OpenOffice with standardized menus. Because of this only three points.

This should be better, I completely support this, it's just that it's so laggy, this is the only office application that doesn't have any ads and that's an instant like. The performance is just terrible but it's kind of usable.

I'm used to libre office, I like the system. I've now got this on my tablet, so I can write where ever. So far so good. (It wouldn't load at first, but the second attempt was successful). It's just finding where everything is at the moment, lol. "I haven't tried importing libreoffice documents yet". A " Help" tag would be good, there might be one, but I haven't found it yet. Lol 😂. Can I get special letters?. Like acents over them, like in French, Spanish and German?.

Barely usable because if its slow responsiveness Added note to developer: Very simple documents take up to 10 seconds to load, moving the table around is stuttering and happening at low framerates Simply selecting another field takes about a second, tapping into the formula field to start editing it takes another two seconds..

About the app:

Collabora Office for Android uses the same engine as LibreOffice for Windows, Mac, and Linux. This, combined with a new front-end based on Collabora Online, reads and saves documents similarly to LibreOffice desktop.

Collabora Engineers Tor Lillqvist, Tomaž Vajngerl, Michael Meeks, Miklos Vajna, Jan Holešovský, Mert Tümer and Rashesh Padia have been developing Android support since 2012, with the help of Google Summer of Code students Andrzej Hunt, Iain Billet and Kaishu Sahu.
