Das Xtra smart home Würfel-Paket von Pfeiffer & May (P&M) ist die Schaltzentrale für den zuverlässigen Betrieb von kleinen Smart-Home-Lösungen bis hin zu kompletten Gebäudemanagementsystemen. Sensoren und Aktoren unterschiedlicher Funkstandards und Hersteller können Plug & Play in das System eingebunden werden. Der weiße P&M-Würfel bildet dafür die Basis und hat bereits WLAN integriert. Er sammelt alle Informationen und überträgt sie an die App. Modulare Ergänzungswürfel, wie z. B. der blaue P&M-Würfel mit dem energieautarken EnOcean-Funk, erschließen jeweils neue „Funkwelten“ mit herstellerübergreifenden Funkstandards. Aktuell stehen zusätzlich zu WLAN und EnOcean die Funk-Würfel Z-Wave und ZigBee vom homee als Systemergänzung bereit.

Alarme, Meldungen und Messwerte werden lokal (und damit sicher) dokumentiert und in der App angezeigt: Alle Fenster offen oder geschlossen? Raumtemperatur? Licht an oder aus? Luftfeuchte und CO2-Konzentration? Alle Messwerte, Batteriestatus und Verbindungsqualität des Gerätes werden angezeigt.
