Can't change settings to customize. One cool setting could be the ability to pick musical tones chromatically from a larger range. The frequency range cuts off before I would have expected. There's a click sound when starting and ending a tone. I like how there's multiple ways to change the freq, but some if the ways (entering the number manually) is really annoying the way it's made. A cool feature could be to hold down on the - or + sign and have the frequency change at a certain rate, like 10 per second or something. Other than that it's a cool app.

Gave it five stars even tho I do wish it had the ability to isolate left and right headphone speakers, perhaps with even isolated frequencies on each side...Maybe a future release?

About this app

This tone generator app produces a continuous tone. The user can modify both the frequency (~pitch) (0 - 20,000 Hz) and the amplitude (~volume) of the sound wave. The wave shape can also be modified as sin, square, triangle, and saw-tooth.

This app can be used in science education in conjunction with a sound meter to determine the inverse-square law for sound intensity, or with another tone generator to produce audible beats (by combining two tones of slight different frequencies).
