I don't see what this has to do with fitness. Health, yes. So my phone (Note 4) has the highest number on the scale for SAR whenever data is being tramsmitted to or from my phone via LTE. I appreciate the intentions of making people more aware of the radiation. We all need to be more concerned with it for sure. But the app has told me my phone emits high levels of SAR almost all the time, so now that can just be expected and I don't need the app anymore. Why do I need to log this data?

Nice app but you should add the standard value of the measure. It shows my SAR value always to be zero, while the power density is constant at 16uw/m² while talking.... am i safe? And why does this always show the SAR value at 0 while calling?????????Please tell me dear developer...normal people like me don't know what's the normal value of those things or what's acceptable. I'm anxious about my health. 😷

Seeing unbelievable spikes to 4.5 W/kg most of the time when it is using LTE. Does that mean Nexus 6 is a health hazard? A short summary note based on the values captured by the app about the possible cause of radiation and how to use it safe will help users of this app. This is my recommendation to the Developers. I have to research about this now and will test with other phones as well.

It's behaving as working program. On two different brands it shows different values, which is fine, just the exposure line is at one not moving, while on the other one yes. And a question on cell raid, how old is the announcement of coming soon of the RF exposure guard? Please be that soon to launch.

Using a Sony D6616, sar is either 0 or 7.5 (max) when using the radio (lte) is this accurate? Wouldn't surprise me this phone runs hot ♨! Thanks for making me more paranoid 😜 lol

Is it normal to have dozens of peaks from 0 to 8.2 W/kg in few seconds when using LTE? My phone is S7 edge. If I turn the network mode to 3G only, everything is fine and the SAR values are below 0.5. I find it really weird.

About this app

QUANTA Monitor is a free Health and Fitness application for those who are interested in promoting healthy environment by following up and limiting their exposure to radiofrequency (RF) emission from their phones.

Quanta Monitor is based on Cellraid's proprietary QUANTA Algorithm that has been validated in extensive laboratory tests to accurately estimate RF emission from mobile devices. QUANTA Monitor is the first technological innovation based application in the world measuring the users RF exposure continuously both in real time and cumulatively. QUANTA Monitor takes into account all RF emission including the invisible emission caused by data usage, a major source of RF emission in modern smart phones. It runs invisibly in the phone and you can see on the display if the governmental limits (SAR limits) for RF emission from the phones are exceeded.

FEATURES:

Real time RF emission from the mobile device and actual RF exposure
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
QUANTA Monitor is an application that enables you to monitor radiofrequency (RF) emission from your mobile device in real time and further to monitor how much of the RF emission you are actually exposed to in real time.
Measures obtained are:
- Real time power density (μW/m2) from the mobile device
- Real time SAR (W/kg) from the mobile device
- Real time exposure to the RF emission (given both in SAR and power density values)

RF emission measuring from the mobile device (power density and SAR) takes place continuously, but actual exposure to RF emission is considered to take place and calculated only when the device is held close to the body. This differentiation is facilitated by the ability of QUANTA Monitor to detect the position of the mobile device, that is whether the device is in a close proximity (against the head or in a hand, lap or in a pocket) or further away from the body, for example on a table.

Cumulative exposure to RF emission
-------------------------------------------------
In addition to real time estimates QUANTA Monitor calculates your cumulative exposure to RF emission during different time intervals (hour, day, week, month).

Cumulative RF exposure is calculated as a sum of power density values in a certain time interval (μWh/m2). Cumulative figures help you to categorize the origins of RF emission you are exposed to (phone data traffic, phone calls, cellular towers and Wifi) and to consider how to limit emission from certain origins. It is worth noticing that the actual radio enviroment is the major factor in cumulative RF exposure, as the minutes spent on the phone have almost no direct correlation to cumulative RF exposure.

COMPLIANCE:

In each country regulatory limits for SAR values of mobile devices are complied with and the limits controlled by the national regulatory body. Generally, European countries follow ICNIRP standards (2.0 W/kg) and the North American countries the FCC standards (1.6 W/kg). QUANTA Monitor display shows you if the governmental limits for RF emission from the phones are exceeded.

COMING SOON!
=============

Reduce your RF exposure with our next application launch: QUANTA Guard

You will be able to reduce your RF exposure with our QUANTA Guard, application based on QUANTA Technology that is automatically reducing up to 90 % of the RF exposure when the phone is in a close proximity to the user without causing a change to the user experience.

In addition QUANTA Cloud service will be available with following features:
- Long term data on real time RF emission and RF exposure and cumulative RF exposure from your phone
- Follow up from all phones and other mobile devices subscribed under same cloud service (Family feature)

New features

Added a privacy notification to the app startup.
