Phone is an LG G6. Following instructions, the app searches for the thermometer and then says "Could not find device, please try again". When i go into my phone's bluetooth settings, it sees it even though the app doesn't. Therefore, I cannot use the Bluetooth feature of this grill thermometer.

although I agree with all the permissions...the bluetooth never connects too. Also, while all the "educated" people complain about this app, they probably still use Facebook and Instagram which track location, database your posts and review and sell all your personal text messages on the phone and phone records. Get smart and stop working for the beast.

Deletes cook data and program if app closes or crashes. From a programming standpoint this would be extremely easy to fix in an update. Just let the app save the data give us the option to delete cooking data if we want to start over. Then I would raise my rating.

works great. reads from end of house to outside patio. for those worried about permissions i denied then it sent me to a warning screen. select setting and you have two listed to turn on. storage and location (needs this for bluetooth). that's all, easy to use.

disconnects often, more trouble than it's worth (having to go through Bluetooth set up every time it disconnects). BTW, i am sitting in the same room as the thermometer

Got it for 8 bucks on a clearance rack. Bluetooth feature will not connect but it is still useful. Two probes come in handy when cooking mixed items on the grill (or in the oven).
