Nothing seems to line up with anything. It's telling me I need 2/0 AL for a 1' run of 100 amp. That's 4 wire sizes above what would normally be run for that. It gives the wire size as 588.9 CM, which is so small it's not even on the wire size chart in chapter 9 table 8 which shows 2/0 as being 133100 CM. 200 amp is a little better, but it's still saying that 250 MCM is only 1177.8 CM when it is actually 250,000. Am I missing something?

20' run at 30 amps should be 10 awg, not 8 awg. Cannot trust accuracy of the app.

with half a brain can do in their head... Still, it makes a useful tool for those of us who are vastly more intellegent than the rest, but also lazy by nature.

The ap is right. people are dumb. It sizes per your 80 percent ampacity on your breaker., example: to the review below...so if you have something pulling 20 ACTUAL AMPS, it is going to be a #10. If it pulled 18 -19 ACTUAL AMPS, only then it would be #12
