This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Too Much Screen Alerter on PC Windows and Mac.

About this app

Too many people spend a lot of time staring at their devices these days, adults and children combined. Adults can control their screen time better compared to children. However, I have observed children will keep watching and watching and watching. If left unsupervised, children can spend all day looking at a device. I think this is too long, so I built this application to limit the amount of time my children play with their devices.

This application will raise a configurable variety of alerts when the screen is on too long, e.g. noise, toast, activity, flash. These alerts range from the mild reminder (toast) to making the device unusable (popping up activity), loud noise). The application is designed to not easily be tampered with (by children), so when it is running, it is hard to stop (password: abc123).

Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows an application to read or write the system settings.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
