Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing BLUETOWN Wi-Fi Mapper/Analyzer on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. NOTE: This application cannot be used without a partner authentication code, obtained from BLUETOWN. It is NOT a generic Wi-Fi analysis tool. If you were not instructed to download it, you will not be able to use the tool/service.

This tool is developed by BLUETOWN for mapping and analysis of Wi-Fi networks in a geographical area, based on GPS positioning and radio signals.

This tool is supposed to be used by partners of BLUETOWN. The application will scan for Wi-Fi and cellular networks, and log the information on the service backend, from where its immediately available for analysis, using the web UI.
