About this app

WikiNias app is a helper for Nias language community members to edit Nias Wikipedia, Wiktionary and Wikibooks. As almost all members can only access the Internet with the smartphones, an Android app is the only way to take part in the collaborative effort to preserve the Nias language, one of the endangered languages in Indonesia.

The community members have started a five year programme (2020-2025) to document, standardize and to promote the language and, thanks to the support of the Wikimedia, can use its Wikipedia, Wiktionary and Wikibooks to achieve this goal.
