My phone does not switch to silent mode unless I manually start the app. I need something that works on its own.

This app crashes whenever I add my location. I use a moto G on Republic Wireless

I set the location accurately, gave it a 100m radius and a 60s refresh rate turned the ringer on and entered the location. Confirmed that the app was running and the location was on waited three minutes (2min longer than setting) called it with another phone and the ringer was not silent. I downloaded this because my job demands our phones be on silent at work but I am always forgetting to change the settings before or after work and I miss calls after work or get written up at work for having my phone on
