For my needs (and admittedly, everyone's are different), this was the best option available a while back, when I was using my prior smartphone (a bit more primitive, let's say). All I wanted was free, simple & private... 3 for 3. When I got my next phone (a considerable upgrade), I was eager to browse/try the newer, more tricked-out apps that were available. So I did..... And saw that I really didn't need much more than what was already here, in THIS app !!!

No problems no issues . Smooth . I tried a bunch of diary apps and settled on this one. Well designed. Easy to use. Plenty of options and features for my purposes. No subscription needed and you can back it up online and you can export it to print it. Excellent. The ads are not ridiculous but I'm going to pay anyway just to support the developer. Being able to add color to tags would be nice. Being able to filter and export according to tag would be nice too.

I use this diary to keep progress notes at work. I was looking for something simple, with a header/title feature on the entries so I can browse previous notes easily. This works well for my needs. My only complaint is that auto-correct does not work (but that might be an issue with my phone). That is not a big issue for me, since I am the only one who will ever see my notes. I appreciate the hard work that went into making this app. Thanks.

Simple UI, doesn't have bells and whistles of Journey like image next to entry, calendar, or media collection, but also doesn't feel pretentious. Would love a calendar view, though. Would love a dark mode view. Feels weird to go from a dark mode app. Feel a little bad for not having a need to pay for ad free, since the ads are hardly intrusive. Using it for basic data logging. Plus Dev doesn't have pretentious responses unlike a "simple" app. TY Dev response, looking forward to these updates!

Finally a decent Journal App that is actually private! I was searching far and wide for secure, encrypted journal apps and I just couldn't trust many of them. Then this app hit me with the word OFFLINE! No need to be linked to the internet 24/7! One thing I wish could be done on this app is adding pictures but other than that Brilliant App! Update 3/6/2019 Had a issue when transferring entries but the developers were super responsive and helpful! I managed to get all my entries back.

I like that it is a very simple app to use, no fancy bells and whistles or other obnoxious "features" that really aren't useful. I use it as a hunting diary to keep track of sightings, wind direction, weather conditions, etc. And I can add pictures to each entry if I'd like.
