Tried this app with my Samsung S6 and cannot get it to work. On today's workout, I got it to count one lap out of 28. Talked to the trainers and they agreed that I was doing everything right. Yesterday, it counted 3 put of 28 laps. Maybe it works on Apple phones, but not on Android.

As a distance runner I find it difficult to remember how many laps I've done (Fremont Rec track is 10 laps per mile)and running 10 to 20 miles it's easy to lose count. The Lapp++ app is easy to use and I can still listen to music and concentrate on running

About this app

The lapp++ counter is an app that uses Bluetooth Low Energy Beacons to count laps for runners or walkers. **A BEACON IS NEEDED FOR THE APP TO WORK** Beacons can be purchased privately and can be used wherever you workout. If you purchase beacons privately, program them to broadcast a UUID of "B9407F30-F5F8-466E-AFF9-25556B57FE6D". This identifier is known as a generic Estimote Beacon UUID. Check with your local gym/recreation center to see if they already utilize BLE Beacon technology in their facility.

To begin, start the app and choose your facility! It's that easy!

The spinner for the laps per mile will be set for the facility that you chose in the first screen. The spinner will allow you to get halfway and one mile complete sound notifications. If you leave the spinner set to 0, you will get the same sound notification verifying the lap was counted.

Another feature of the main screen is the tap count. If a lap is missed via bluetooth, the user can tap the shell on the main screen and increment the count.

The Reset button will reset your count to zero.

New features

New features include reverse count, custom sound notifications, swipe right to decrease lap count by 1, increased control of counts to minimize extra laps, saved user preferences and more! Please check out indoorlapcounter.com for detailed tutorials.
