Bootup choose the notification banner then the app allows all possible home apps to be shown with the once or always buttons. Don't choose always yet. Choose your normal home, just touch the name. That puts home in service, now hit the home button, this takes me to the same choices, now choose Target home, select always. Done, the back button always gets you to home or recent apps if home was not the the most recent. The home button always takes you to the app you selected within target app

I've spent nearly three days looking for an app that did nothing more than set an app as a "launcher" for the sake of making Sony Ericsson's TimeScape my main interface. This one does the job PERFECTLY! Only thing I'd like to request is an invisible icon so that the Target Home icon doesn't persist up top.

I've been looking for something that does exactly this so I can use Quickdroid as the default launcher. For everyone complaining about the persistent notification, you can disable any app's notifications in the system per-app settings.
