About this app

Aves Vox means the sound of birds in Latin and that is exactly what this app is all about.
This app of bird calls presents to you the links to the recordings with the best quality on www.xeno-canto.org without using a web browser.
Eighty percent of all the bird species in the world is represented with at least one belonging bird call. Aves Vox includes now 69818 links to recordings.
You can download each recording to your device for offline use within the app.


The species list is based on IOC World Bird List 2013. Together this creates a great library in your smart phone or other unit with over 69000 recordings.
Each link to recording contains the Xeno-Canto ID, name of the recorder, license information and direct link to the specific site of recording on www.xeno-canto.org.
There are five types of bird calls: call, song, flight call, alarm call and other calls.
You can play and pause your downloaded recordings without any internet connection.

Aves Vox includes following language for species: English.
But with the "in-app purchase" you'll get the following languages for species: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Swedish, Slovak, Portuguese, Hungarian.

Keep in mind! Using Aves Vox or any other playback equipment can be stressful to birds and can negatively affect their breeding success. You have the responsibility to use Aves Vox in a responsible manner without affecting the diversity of birds or their habits.

This is the final release candidate (last beta), including complete support for all functions (could require Pro). If issues with merging the checklists to this version, please email us at contact@avesvoxapp.com before dismissing and continue the installation process! If there is any other issues, don't hesitate, email us from the above and please attach phone model and Android version. There will be fewer languages in the user interface a couple of version, but we are working on it!
