This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Dutch Oven Gourmet on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

I had this app installed on my previous Motorola Razr without any issues and it was super handy cooking at camp. Nice app because you don't need to have service to use it. So now I'll try it on my new LG G3 phone.

This is hands down, the best dutch oven app available on any platform. I love how it accurately calculates the number of coals required.

About this app

Dutch Oven Gourmet is meant to be your best friend when using dutch ovens to cook. It is a simple calculator for figuring out how many coals to use to obtain a certain temperature. It now includes support for Fahrenheit and Celsius, as well as language support for Dutch, Spanish, and German. Please forgive me if the language isn't correct, as I only speak English and used Google Translate for it. If the languages are incorrect, it's Google's fault, not mine! ;)

To select Celsius, touch Menu, Settings, and select between Celsius and Fahrenheit. The app should remember your selection until you change it.

I would like to say thank you to Ruediger Puch and John Rambo for their assistance with the localization of the app. Without you guys being willing to assist me, I couldn't have done it.

If you do experience any problems with the app, or something isn't right with the localization, please feel free to email me.

Unlike other applications in the market, I promise that I will NEVER include advertising for an application that only took one evening to write.
