Don't bother. I can't even get out of the gate. I can pair it after a zillion tries but it does not show up in the devices menu. No matter what I do it does not find nor see it. I too am tech savvy, 44 years worth, and since it was $10 at Wal-Mart, I'd spend that much on gas just to take it back. Really not worth the trouble.

GPS gives you your phone location only but not the device location. Bluetooth works but beeps unexpectedly and repeatedly on phone. If you look for the lost item, it only tells you where it was when you last tracked it directly with bluetooth, which is useful. My son lost his keys with device attached. The alarm, which was set to maximum, was too low to hear, and he could not find the device. I returned it within a few days from buying it. I would not waste my money if I go out a lot

The advantage this gives you is that it lets you know the general location of where the object(s) you want to track were last. You must have Bluetooth and gps on. When you become distant from the device your phone will alert you. That's fine, but, the device itself will not make any noise. So if your keys are lost and you hit "alert", the phone will ring and vibrate instead. Also, there's about a three - ten second delay til your phone rings from hitting alert. Better products than this are available.

The directions don't make sense and/or are not accurate. I played with it long enough to figure out how it works and it is no good. Such a simple device should be easy to use with easy instructions. However, the instructions do not correspond with how the device works. I am very knowledgeable and capable of using such tools but this one is useless!! RETURNING FOR REFUND.

App malfunctions constantly. Device shuts off on its own all the time. Useless to help u find anything because it shuts off. Device only blinks small light. Helpful only IF: 1-turn on and pair with phone quickly b4 shutoff. 2 - hide device in plain sight so tiny blinking light is noticeable 3 - start searching for device right after u hide it from yourself. Sorry to be a hater but in this case it is deserved.
