This app lets you read the electronic chip in your passport that contains all your information, including your photo etc.

Use your phone’s camera to extract the necessary info to enable NFC access.
Make sure your phone is NFC ready and your passport has the chip symbol displayed. Place the top part of your phone on your passport and let it scan your data.

View all your info, save your photo in HD and copy your passport number. Please note that some data (such as your finger prints or iris photo) can only be read by official authorities.
