This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Shiny Counter on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. I have one objection, when I try to use the wormhole method, it doesn't show the shiny chance. Other than that, it is great!

About this app

A completely free application which can be used to count the number of random encounters, soft reset, etc.

Features:
- The app calculates odds for any hunts you are doing or planning, all you have to do is input the details, eg. Game, Method, Charm, No. of Encounters. The app even calculates methods with continuous odds such as PokéRadar or Chain Fishing based on how many encounters you've had.
- Unlike other apps of its kind, this app has a built in save file so you don't have to even think of keeping track of your encounter yourself.
- The current number of encounters can be manually adjusted using the encounter adjuster in case of any errors.
- There are specific counters for the SOS and Wormhole methods which take the likes of PP, Light Years Travelled, etc. based on the method.
- As mentioned previously, the app supports shiny hunting for all games from Generation 2 all the way up to Generation 7 with the release of Ultra Sun and Moon.
