About this app

People never think about this situation until it is too late. At the beginning of 2018, we came face to face with a Nor'easter. The storm was so severe that it knocked out power, brought down trees, created black ice, sub-zero temperatures. Families forced to go live in shelters, while others braved the harsh weather. It is something about watching family members suffer that is unforgivable and unforgettable.

This application was created to assist the generator owner; maintain, run and store the unit safely. After having a generator for two months, I notice I had to search high and low for the generators manual, but my smartphone was at arms reach every time. So, I decided to create an app for my generator which ultimately worked out perfectly. The app gives you the steps to start it up and store the unit safely.

Backup Power also gives you tips based on experience. The app points out the dangers of a generator, and it is NOT a toy. Please take it seriously. Your safety depends on it, amongst your families safety as well. People call me the guardian because I play scenarios out in my mind before they even happen. I want to say that I'm correct 75% of the time. I don't like pain, so I try to look ahead of others and myself to stay safe. Knock on wood; I haven't been in no accidents in the last twenty years.

If you are new to owning a generator, please install this app. Send me feedback about your experience, so if I need to work on something I can make the corrections. Please read before you agree when the time comes. This app works if you consent to its terms.

New features

What changed? The app has a much better look to it. Easy to navigate along with a way to contact the developer directly. I have also added notifications for news and updates for the app newest features. This app is still a work in progress, so don't expect eye candy.
