Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing UCD-Offline Voice Recognition on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

I am unfortunately in agreement with some other users whose reviews are here. Keeps presenting me with irrelevant contacts and acts as though it has found the correct one(s)! Absolutely useless. I wish I could give it zero stars. Interesting to note the Company behind this app appears to have done nothing to eliminate this sort of problem since the dating of earlier reviews by other users from 2/3 years ago, although other reviewers going back to this time strangely do not seem to have had the same problem(s) giving more favourable reviews. Don't bother with this UCD stuff particularly as I think you are probably more likely to have an accident on the road while struggling to get somewhere with this app. All in all there appears to be a fundamental recognition problem which needs properly sorting out. Brent.

Its a nice idea not having to be online, but the recognition of instruction is very poor. Google voice works much better but is online so you take your choices but it cant identify location names well enough to navigate by. So no good to 2 unfortunately.

Never recognized a word I said on my Moto G5 Plus 64GB. Properly initialized. A total waste of time, just like the parent App UCD.

An absolute waste of 29.4 megabytes of space! On an average it generally says, "command not recognised" on every command it should be able to recognise. The UCD app usually works the same without spending the dollars on this waste of space. So why pay for it?

Instructions :
To initially configure the app you must be online. Once configured, you are ready to go offline.

Once you have installed this app, and created your dictionary, Ultimate Car Dock will always use the UCD-Offline Voice Recognition system.

When you modify your contacts the app will remind you to re-create your dictionary. Its important you do this on each modification to ensure your offline dictionary is keep current. This will enable you to use your new contact information with UCD Offline!
