This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Film Viewer on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

My dentist mentioned that he thought an app that he could view x-rays with would be useful, so this app came as a result of that.

Work with some sort of film, such as photo negatives or x-rays? This app may be of interest for you!

**** How to use it ****
-The app automatically sets the screen brightness to maximum when in use.
-Drag your finger to the right to make the white space wider. Dragging to the left makes it skinnier
-Drag your finger up to make the white space taller. Dragging downward makes it shorter.
-Make the white space the size of your film, then set your film on top of the screen. Having the white space only be as large as your film should help with visibility.

**** Permissions Explained ****
Write Settings - Used to change the screen brightness to maximum while the app is in use.

New features

12/15/2013 - Some users were having a crash when the app would start up. Added permission to write to the system settings to try and fix this. I don't know why this was only effecting some users.
