This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing AMP Heat Control on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

This app allows you to remote control AppMyProduct heat control devices, i.e. applications that implement the AppMyProduct heat control interface. An example of such is the AppMyProduct heat control demo stub, available from Github (https://github.com/nabto/appmyproduct-device-stub). Or you can download pre-built binaries of the demo stub at https://www.nabto.com/downloads.html.

This app is the first example app using the heat control as example domain. You can find the source code for the app on https://github.com/nabto/ionic-starter-nabto.

The app can be used a starting point for your own production ready IoT app to remote control your own product. It takes care of all the following:

* Device management through local discovery and bookmarks for later access
* RSA public key fingerprint based pairing of local devices with app for secure remote access
* On-device access control and user management (self-contained, no need for any central configuration)
* Example page for heating control to demonstrate actual device interaction - can be replaced with specific remote control for your IoT scenario
* Takes full benefit of the Nabto framework to ensure secure, high performance remote access
