Once your mobile receives the One time password ,Whats OTP accesses it in real time & displays it instantly in the form of an overlay notification, within the authentication page itself.Moreover, the notification provides you with a copy OTP option & ensures a hassle free experience.You can even tap on the overlay notification to see the OTP details.

What does Whats OTP do?

Our app drops an overlay notification with your OTP on top of your current application.You can copy and paste it in the merchant payment gateway page and thus complete your transaction process quickly.

Is Whats OTP secure?

Yes,it is !! We understand that OTP/password is meant for users security and we respect that. Whats OTP is an standalone application which doesn't require Internet permissions.Further, Whats OTP runs without Internet access.

Does Whats OTP requires any permissions ?

1. SMS Receive permission (To receive SMS and drop overlay notification if its an OTP message)
2. SMS Read permission (To read all the SMS and show only OTP, OAC or Password messages in the home screen. If you don't have any OTP messages in your inbox an empty message will be shown)

Advantages of using Whats OTP ?

1. Helps you to complete the authentication/transaction process quickly.
2. You can copy and paste the OTP (provided the payment gateway allows you to paste it).
3. Helps you to avoid the unnecessary back and forth navigation in the middle of a transaction.


Does Whats OTP show only OTP's ?

We display an overlay notification upon receiving OTP, OAC (online authentication code),or Passwords.


What all OTP's /Passwords are supported by Whats OTP ?

Currently we support OTP's Sent by:
1.Citi Bank/Axis Bank/Standard Chartered Bank/HDFC Bank/ICICI Bank/Andhra Bank/Indian Overseas Bank/SBI Bank/SBH Bank/Discover Bank/Bank of America/Chase and many more banks as well.

2.We also support passwords sent by Google/Facebook/Amazon/Yahoo/IRCTC/Airtel/Paytm/mobikwik etc

Besides,we support more than 200 OTP message formats.

What if Whats OTP shows incorrect OTP ?

Upon tapping the notification,it flips and displays the original message.This allows you to crosscheck the One Time Password. In case,the app displays incorrect OTP, please mail us the message format to whatsotp@gmail.com or appjam.solutions@gmail.com .We shall fix the same in our next update.

Isn't sharing the message format a security violation ?

No it isn't.We don't tamper with your OTP's as security of our users is of utmost importance to us.Moreover, most of the OTP's become invalid after 20 to 30 mins. Therefore,you can just mail us the format of the message by hiding the OTP code/Personal information as shown below:
"XXXXXX is the Onetime password (OTP) for your transaction over IVR/Internet. This is usable only once & valid for 30 mins from the request. PLS DO NOT SHARE WITH ANYONE"


Does Whats OTP show annoying advertisements ?

We don't display advertisements at all. This is an AdFree application.
