By far the most accurate of all OCR apps in google store! Have tried all others but i think ill settle with this one. Needs a little more optimizqtion tho...but cant complain, its free and better than the others! Def recommended, worth keeping! Doubles as a stick it notes with a neat widget too!

For an app named OCR you would expect it to be able to recognize more than one word. I tried with a clearly written "Hello World" message and it generated an entire paragraph of random characters and symbols. Though it did recognize "Hello."

OCR Notes is a pretty notepad with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) function. It is a good helper to manage your schedules and notes. It gives you a quick and simple notepad editing experience when you write notes, memo, email, message, shopping list and to do list. Turning your phone into a scanner and extract text from image, OCR result text will be saved into a note automatically. OCR Notes never uploads image, recognition is done offline. The best OCR notes you must have!

Supported languages for OCR: Arabic, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian (Latin), Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Tagalog, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.

OCR data for English is included. Other OCR data will be downloaded from network after you select OCR language. OCR data downloading is cancelable (press BACK key). Default language is English. You need crop text area after taking or picking a picture.
