About this app

I had this problem.

I like to keep changing my phone from one manufacturer to another. Guess what's a common issue with them and the way different apps (WhatsApp, Telegram etc) try to shoot videos?

Good (maybe): Device manufacturers build custom camera app (Sony -> DRM protected enhancement, Samsung -> Same; or Samsung S10/S10+ default camera gives you ability to zoom) which enhances the pictures.

Not good: 3rd party apps (WhatsApp, Telegram etc) make their own camera screens and don't use default camera app to get photos and videos

Result: Mediocre quality images, can't use specialized hardware features (like different lenses for zoom) and even blurry, low light pics.

shootey aims to solve this problems by providing these features:

1. It pretends to be a gallery app. Use your 3rd party apps to browse/pick an image/video rather than use their camera screen to take a pic. shootey will then launch the device camera app to take the photo and send it back to the original app.

2. If the original app is not behaving correctly, and not showing the option to browse or pick a media, launch shootey to take a picture or video and then share to any app without polluting your gallery.

New features

- Colors and user interface update
- Gallery Screen for all media shot and shared
- Ability to open old media in their respective apps
- Share or delete from Gallery Screen
- Code optimizations
- Remove WhatsApp and Telegram references and helps because they both don't really need shootey
