The Magic Roku Remote works as a floating screen widget that expands into a full use remote. Everything you need is right at your finger tips - from navigation buttons to your favorite channels. We know how much it sucks to sit there and wait for your remote to load(cough cough, official app), so we used a set of forward thinking techniques to prevent any waiting/downtime/loading in most situations. Never wait for your remote to load; as long as your remote has been connected before, and you are connected to the WiFi it uses you can instantly start sending commands.

There are some limitations that are either still in development, or not possible with user created Roku remote applications:
☆ Roku TV Power ON(this won't work with most Roku TV's. This has to do with the way the Roku TV was designed!)
☆ Private listening(there is currently no API access for developers to use private listening, this may change in the future)
☆ Controlling a device connected to a mobile hotspot(this may cause issues and/or just not work for some people!)

Frequently asked questions:
Q) Why can't your app find my device?
A) This app uses the same exact discover command out there, including the official remote app! Chances are you're not connected to the same network as your device(this happens more often than you'd think!) Make sure that you're on the same WiFi as the device, and if you still can't connect then shoot us an email and we'll troubleshoot with you!

Q) Why does the widget keep saying I'm disconnected when I'm not?
A) This happens sometimes with weak WiFi connections, but fear not - you don't have to live with it! In the App settings(the gear icon in the top right hand corner of the main screen) you can turn on the `Weak Internet` setting. This setting stops the widget from checking your internet connection, ultimately preventing the disconnected screen. Keep in mind if your internet is slow/weak, your remote commands may also be laggy! This setting does not fix that.
