I downloaded several flashlight applications to compare for use on a recent camping trip. Little did I know this outdoors endeavor would end up with me stranded on an island after high tide came in at night, covering the sandbar I walked there on - preventing any form of escape. With no phone service and after what seemed like hours of deliberation, I turned to my phone and opened this app ...selecting the S.O.S. distress signal that I was able to keep on until I was spotted by a passing boat about 45 minutes later. The minimal battery drain combined with the supreme accuracy of the S.O.S. flash timings were definitely the main factors contributing to the quickness of my rescue. My heart now sings in the key of a-minor.

INSTRUCTIONS (found in the app menu->'About')

Camera flash Torch mode is initially off. The Torch toggle option (if available on your device) is accessed from the main menu (press your Menu key). Even if the option shows up, Torch mode is not guaranteed to work (correctly) on all devices.

Swipe the screen from right to left to change the color theme. Your color theme selection is thereafter implemented in each flashlight type you choose. White is the default color theme (hint: while viewing colors, select the 'Solid Colors' type to reset the color to white… or you can just swipe back to white).

Once a color theme is chosen, you can change the type of flashlight with the 'Select Type' option from the main menu (press your Menu key) or by long pressing for a few seconds on the screen.
