I installed this App because I wanted a simple and straight-forward editor to create new .txt files, open existing files on the SD card, and edit them. Do yourself a favor and actually read many of the two and three star reviews that so many have been more than kind in giving - they all say they can't do a SaveAs or even save existing files after editing them. Not only this, but after creating a file you can't even give it a name!!!!! If you try to create a new directory it switches to internal storage 👎

Opened a txt file on Ext SD Card and changed a few words. Pressed Save. Checked to see if it worked ok with another Editor , but nothing has changed. Also , if you use Save As there seems to be no way to automatically use the existing name - so I used a file manager and copied the existing name and then pasted that into Name Field and pressed Save. There are NO CHANGES made. To be sure , I closed and restarted the App. Made some changes and used Save As with same name. Dialog said it saved Ok , but there are NO CHANGES! Tried saving with a new filename , but no file is created. Your App does not work. Please Fix. (Android 5.0.2)

The PERFECT Notepad for Android I've been looking for so long! The only flaw is I can't save directly on SD card for some reason. I have to save it on int. mem. and then move it to SD.

I installed this because I wanted a straightforward notepad to allow me to a) Fix (edit) a few mistakes in text copied to the clipboard by my OCR program. b) Save the edited text into a file(s) on my phone. My problem is that I can find NO way to paste text into Notes2SD. I will try again later today to see if the developer can explain how to paste text. If pasting text is not possible, I will have to keep on looking for an android notepad that does what I want, without intrusive "permissions".

All I wanted was a simple app like Windows' Notepad! Finally! Someone got it right! This will no doubt be my most used app! Thank you very much!
