AhnLab V3 Office Security (V3 OS) is a mobile security app for enterprise users provided by AhnLab, Inc.
IT managers in enterprise can protect employees’ mobile devices using security features provided by V3 OS.
To use V3 OS, register the device in AhnLab Office Security Center, a website for managers, and install V3 OS on the device.

2) Description
- Security Assessment: Checks the device’s overall security status by running update, vulnerability check, and malware scan.
- Malware scan: Blocks mobile malware in real-time to protect the device.
- App authority checker: Shows apps that have an authority to utilize the device's features or user privacy.
- Lost Device Control: AhnLab Office Security Center sends alert and messages, locks the device, and resets the device if necessary.
- Web filtering: AhnLab Office Security Center applies a block policy to provide secured web browsing environment.
- MDM connection: Supports device management by MDM connection.

[Smartphone App Permissions]
Pursuant to the Information and Communications Network Act which came into effect on March 23, 2017 for the protection of users related to smartphone app permissions, V3 Office Security only asks users to grant consent to access permissions required for the service. Required permissions are as follows.

- Access to all files: To run malware scan and protect your device by checking information and status of apps on your device
- Notification: To detect security risks in notifications and deliver notifications and announcements
- Accessibility: To provide threat response through Security Screen and URL Scan
- VPN: To protect your device by checking URLs with web filtering
- Device manager: To prevent apps stored on your device from being uninstalled by malware or the third party
- Usage data access: To protect your device by managing which apps use other apps’ information
- Appear on top: To provide real-time detected threat information and response guide
- Do not disturb: To locate your device using sound alert by controlling sound settings of your device

Declaring the permission implies intention to use the API and the user of the device can grant permission through the Settings application.
