About this app

This app is built to help circuit designers visualize the size of electrical components and ICs that go on PCBs they are designing. Size is often an important consideration during the component selection process, but it can be hard to get an intuitive feel of the size simply by looking at the measurements in a datasheet.

This simple app accurately draws a rectangle with the dimensions of the component. It is meant as an improvement over grabbing a ruler (or set of calipers) for visualizing the size of the footprint required by the component.
