About this app

Wangarĩ Bizcard or Bizcard for short is a simple contact card management and sharing solution for everyday use.
It is aimed at making sharing and management of contacts very easy while saving the planet.
Bizcard works mainly with QrCodes eliminating the need for paper or printed contact cards for sharing contacts.
Named in honor of Wangarĩ Muta Maathai, the creators of Bizcard subscribe to the values and believes of The Green Belt Movement Founder to protect and conserve our environment at all cost.

While sharing contacts by means of paper and printed contact cards remains relevant in some circumstances, we challenge the practice in situations where almost everyone is carrying a smart phone.
We discourage the use of paper or printed contact cards for contact sharing for the following reasons:

The practice encourages the cutting of trees.
It is easy to misplace printed contact cards and most people will throw away after first use.
Only about 2 out of every 10 contact cards collected during an event is consulted or made use of after the event.
It takes time and effort to locate that single important contact card from a pack.
Printed contact cards consume space in our lockers and are difficult to backup or take them with you.
Information contained in a standard printed contact card is limited.

It is therefore easy to see why the creators who have themselves experienced these shortcomings of printed contact cards set out to address them.

Bizcard is shipped under a Freemium model. After downloading and installing the app, you can use the app free at no cost until you hit the 50 cards limit for the free version. To go beyond this limit, you may pay for a 1 Year License or a Life Time License which will give you unlimited access to the features of the app.
Bizcard does not promote ads in anyway.

App Permissions

Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
Allows access to the vibrator.
