This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing DocumentScanner on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. I just wish it also worked as an extension to Lecture Notes so that you don't have to leave Lecture Notes to scan and add a page. Other than that it works exactly as expected.

Completes the LectureNotes suite nicely and integrates well.

Can't scan multiple pages despite selecting the option. Would be great if integrated into LectureNotes so that images can be directly scanned into a LectureNote notebook. Also helpful if the edges of pages and text in images can be automatically recognised. Hopefully developer is working on these?

DocumentScanner is an Android app for document scanning by taking photographs using the device camera.

It has been designed while having a user at university or in a company in mind, for instance a student who is using it to digitize notes or a businessman who is using it for collecting and organizing receipts.
