Endeavor is the only research-based scheduling system available that contains specially-designed features for individuals with cognitive disabilities. The software enables people to become truly independent, self-paced and self-directed. With Endeavor, you have in your hands a powerful tool for acquiring and reinforcing skills necessary for achieving independence across life activity domains including education, employment, independent living, recreation, and transition. Endeavor can also be used in conjunction with our Visual Impact 3 prompting App. With Endeavor and Visual Impact 3 on the same tablet or smartphone, time-sensitive reminders can connect to step-by-step instruction without requiring the user to exit or launch apps manually.
Endeavor gives you the ability to quickly create time-based reminders, ranging from single events to regular appointments, as well as immediate to-do list audio items. Endeavor is the latest in the family of scheduling Apps from AbleLink Technologies, beginning in 2002 with our handheld prompting App Schedule Assistant. This newest version has been re-written from the ground up to support more robust local notifications, to support email notifications, and high resolution displays.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR GETTING STARTED: To access the Settings area on the App's main screen, you must tap and HOLD the "i" button in the upper right corner for at least 5 seconds. This is by design, to prevent accidental taps.
Many individuals – including people with intellectual disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, early onset dementia, and certain learning disabilities – have difficulty remembering when to perform key activities such as taking medications, taking care of pets, turning off appliances, locking doors, attending appointments, doing chores, performing self-care activities, remembering work tasks, recording homework schedules, or any other routine or non-routine activity of daily living. Endeavor provides a format for these individuals to complete tasks independently and on time, thus freeing up staff or caregiver time and greatly enhancing the individual's independence and quality of life.
To use the system, staff, teachers or the end user can add scheduled events via Endeavor's Setup utility to easily create new appointments or other schedule-based activities. Setup uses the device's integrated camera and voice-recording systems to obtain digital images and audio recordings "on the fly". Multimedia schedule content is then available to the end user on a simple Home Page interface where scheduled items are represented by text, a picture, and an audio recording. Examples may include "It's time to feed the dog before you go to work" accompanied by a picture of an empty dog dish, or "It's time to take your morning meds. Look at the picture on the screen to make sure you have the right ones."

Endeavor provides multiple customization options so you can modify the user interface to match the individual's preferences.
