Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing SmartComb Mobile on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

About this app

SmartComb Mobile allows you to interact with your Seitron SPA combustion analyzer through the Bluetooth® communication protocol (SPP profile).
Pair your analyzer with the smartphone/tablet via Bluetooth® and:
• display remote data
• remotely save an analysis on the instrument
• create a report (csv, pdf or xml format) and send it by email to your control center for immediate consultation.

Note:
SmartComb Mobile is compatible with Casper (200-300) analyzers and Chemist (400) analyzers equipped with the Bluetooth® interface and which have been producted since 17/10/2013.

SmartComb Mobile has been developed by Seitron SpA to be used on devices equipped with the Android operating system.
The Android operating system is fragmented due to the following factors:
• various versions of this OS
• different behavior of the devices (smartphones / tablets) that use the same version of Android OS
• different customization of the operating system made by the manufacturers of smartphone/tablet

Seitron SpA therefore can not guarantee that SmartComb Mobile runs properly with any hardware device equipped with the Android OS.
Upon this statement Seitron SpA makes available, on the site www.seitron.it and on the related page of Google Play Store, the list of hardware devices that work with certainly SmartComb Mobile as tested in our laboratories.
The list will be updated quarterly.
Seitron SpA does not guarantee compatibility with Android devices outside of this list.
Seitron SpA also reserves the sole right to decide, at the specific request of the customer, whether or not to implement SmartComb Mobile for other Android devices outside of the official published list.
The customer who decided to purchase Seitron combustion analyzers, only or even partially based on the prospect of using SmartComb Mobile devices with Android hardware not included in the official published list, does so at his own risk, as Seitron SpA shall not be held to assure compatibility with his device.
