With the availability of this App it obviates the need for a local LAN connection. Here's how: Upon commissioning a Quatra system a local LAN via RJ45 is required so the Quatra can communicate with the cloud for short order low bandwidth data. When a local LAN connection just isn't available I use the WAVE QMT App on my phone to act as the internet bridge.
