Googled the weight, frontal area, drag coefficient for my car ( 97 Honda civic sedan automatic) , put in all the info and did a few runs. Got a consistent 19.0 et @ 83 mph. Didn't launch the car, just took off nice and easy and floored it. My transmission is pretty much dead so I think 19.0 @ 83 is fair. Dyno numbers showed 98 WHP. Considering the car has a JDM d15b (130 HP) I found the numbers to be pretty close. I used a 0.23 drive train loss since the car has a dead auto transmission on it.

The first few time I messed with the thing it was way off. But I found my cars height x width, added them together and divided by 2 for a frontal area. That was 1.57 meters on a cobalt ss. Then my drag Co was .324 minus the big wing I used .32. Then my weight. The cars base is 2971. I weigh 200. Gas in my car is 6lbs per gallon x 5, or 30lbs. Dyno weight 3200. See how easy this is. I made 229hp -13% drive train for the cobalt yeilded 200hp on a stock SS/SC. Not too far off. If i dialed my weight exact I bet the hp would be close. Try the app. I am on a 2year old 4g HTC EVO. Still an amazing phone...

Calibrated as per the guide. Did 2 runs. First top speed was -7mph. Second was 108... hideously incorrect. Dont bother.

Surprisingly accurate. Had the dub dynoed by pros and this app is within 10 hp of the real thing. Just save your car specs...

This app even works with a bike. After tinkering with the mass, drag coefficient and frontal area I got a suprisingly acurate reading for my ZX-12R.

Would like to see it changed such that the phone can be mounted in any orientation and then zeroed, rather than having to lay down flat. Vectors man!
