SIGN UP
The SignUp module is used to receive applications from diaspora members around the world. A Diaspora member (for instance a ghanaian living abroad) will submit his application to be registered on the diaspora database. He or she will select his country (Ghana) and provide biodata, nationality and expertise
NATIONALITY VALIDATION
Once the applicaton is received, the country validation centre will investigate the authenticity of the data by crossing checking the nationality of the applicant and verify any valid identity document submitted by the applicant before validating.
DIASPORA APPROVAL
Even though you have passed the nationality validataion, you must be living in the country of residence to be accepted in the diaspora community database of that country. If the consular officer or the diaspora community leader of your country of residence disapproves your residency in that country, your record will be saved to the Homeland Community Database in DiaspoApp. You will be considered as a business partner of the Diaspora Community.
NATIONAL DIASPORA DATABASE
The Diaspora Data from various diaspora communities around the world are warehoused and stored into the National Diaspora Database of the country and secured by high security protocols using Oracle Data guard and oracle multi-layered security to enforce data access controls in the database with data-driven security.
DIASPORA MEMBER TRANSFER
When the applicant who is in UK for instance decides to move to the US, a request is sent and his record is transfer into the Ghana-US diaspora database and the embassy with the diaspora community will update his record.
COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT
DiaspoApp is built with DiaspoMemo which is used by members to send requests, complaints, suggestions and information to diaspora community leaders, consular and their head of missions as well as the ministry of Foreign Affairs or Diaspora Affairs. The community Leaders can also use the DiaspoActivity to keep records of their meetings and activities of their community. DiaspoApp is built with DiaspoSMS for sending bulk information to the diaspora communities in the world. The director of Diaspora Affairs can send one sms to all ghanaian living abroad with a just a click of button. The ambassador can also use DiaspoSMS to send relevant information to all the communities under his jurisdiction. The consular officer or diaspora community leader can also use DiaspoSMS to forward information to all diaspora members.
DIASPO EMAIL
For record keeping purposes, DiaspoEmail is the most appropriate tool to forward important messages on business investment, voters registration and legal documents to the diaspora communities.
DIASPO MEMO
DiaspoMemo is an internal tool that members of the DiaspoApp can use to communicate among themselves. Members can send request, information, suggestions and complaints to their embassies, consulates or diaspora communities and receive feedback through the same means.
