This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Lock Individual Chats - WhatLock on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

awesome work, but i have a problem using it. when i first time open the locked chat it works great but, when i go back to list and open the same locked chat again, then first the chat opens (chat screen appears) and after that the lock screen appears. i mean, i could view the chat in that almost half second duration before the lock screen appears. i hope ya fix it soon. i like this app.

Would be perfect if the pin entry used large digital keypad layout. Small keyboard buttons make it a lot harder when entered often. If pay if large numerical buttons were an option. Also itd be nice to disable fingerprint authentication in case someone uses your finger while you're sleeping.... There are apps that lock your phone on a schedule (ie. They disable fingerprint overnight) but this app would benefit it fingerprint could also be disabled and just pin used.

•PROS: 1. Cool Personal Chat & Group Chat Lock, 2. Fingerprint •CONS: 1. Protection can be disabled easily. 2. Direct to WhatsApp(WA) button frequently doesn't work to lock, 3. There're 2 notif problems: WhatLock(WL)'s notif. bypasses the WA's mute notif,& WL notif uses Android system's notification sound, so there will be 2 annoying mixed notif sounds (WA & WL) on every incoming message. Solution: There is supposed to be an option to mute/disable notif sound # Compatibility issues? SG-Note9/Pie

Its not working, i click on add contant and it just works normally as whatsapp the hat does not get selected.

Everything is fine except one, if i killed whatsapp when at the password page, it'll close the whatslock and the whatsapp, when i open the chat again, its unlocked, redmi 5 is mine and method of closing is long pressing the phone back button

This application enables users to lock their selected WhatsApp conversations with a password without locking the entire application. Fingerprint authentication is also supported for devices with fingerprint sensor.

For phones having Android other than the stock versions( Redmi, Honor, Oppo) you need to lock the app in memory such that the background service is not killed by android.

Open the recent apps menu,swipe down the app and press the lock button.

This application requires you to set up a password the first time. On providing the READ_CONTACTS permission, it will detect the WhatsApp contacts and list them. You can then lock any one of them by clicking the lock icon next to a contact. To lock groups, you have to use the Plus Icon in the bottom left corner. This app does not have the Internet Permission. So be rest assured, no data is transferred over Internet.

Added notification block from locked contacts. To enable this you need to give the app notification access.
Changed the contacts list.
Now all contacts are automatically synced on starting the app. To enable this you need to give the app READ_CONTACT permission.
To lock any app only the lock icon next to it is to be pressed.
