Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing AirStash on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

You should inform customers that the older A02 Airstash is no longer supported on the APP and maybe people will not purchase them. Yes the older Airstash models were dropped completely and no firmware update is available to fix the problem.

Does not work with android anymore what a waste of time and effort seriously don't bother

Just tried with A02 version. Seems to work fine. Have updated to last release of firmware. The app locates device, connects to it. Gives access to files, and plays back movies. Shows battery status etc. So all in all does what it should. Thanks.

My Samsung tablet can see the files but won't play them,, it crashes,,, but it's ok with my HTC phone

Easily access your files and stream media from AirStash® – the only wireless flash drive for Android devices! This app requires an AirStash device in order to work.

Wirelessly stream movies, view & import photos, listen to music & podcasts, and view/transfer documents stored on your AirStash. The AirStash app is an enhanced alternative to the built-in web interface adding features only possible with a native app.

FEATURES

The AirStash app provides simple access to your AirStash device and adds requested extra features including:

Video:

• Play video files supported by your Android device

Photo:

• View photos directly from AirStash
• Import individual photos or a directory of photos at native or reduced resolution
• Export feature allows you to select photos from your camera roll to export to AirStash
• Slideshow viewer to auto-step through directory of photos

Audio:

• Play non-DRM audio files supported by your Android device
• Auto-play next audio file in directory

Documents & Other File Types:

• Upload documents/files
• Download documents/files
• Open documents/files in other apps

NOTE

The AirStash app can transfer all file types. It is up to the device OS or third party software to decode and display all the various file types. File type support varies between device manufacturers, OS versions, and third party apps.
