Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing WildLife List on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

About this app

Finally, a way to store all your wildlife sightings in one App! WildLifeList combines MAMMALS, BIRDS, REPTILES and AMPHIBIANS into one list, while keeping them country specific.

WildLifeList provides you with:
- Easy to read info (including common names, scientific names, and alternative names of a species)
- A search function that searches across all name categories (common, scientific, and a.k.a. names) so you can find your species quickly
- Records dates of the first and last time you have seen each species, and
- Shows those all-important total species seen at the end of a safari!

As we build, we will add more and more countries to the App, so you will be able to check off all the species of the world in one App!

It couldn't be easier to start your list: simply name the list, select the country that you want, and begin ticking off the wonderful species you are lucky enough to see. Flick freely between MAMMALS, BIRDS, REPTILES and AMPHIBIANS as you go.
Everything that you record is saved, and can be seen in your MASTER LIST. This ultimate list can be filtered down to give you all your numbers and species in the different countries, and years.

We have enabled a SHARE function in the App as well, letting your friends know what you have seen.

We have all had the problem of losing a list (or several), but no more! With our BACKUP function, your lists are all saved! It couldn't be easier to BACKUP your lists, and to reinstate them if you upgrade or change your phone.
