Have had this for over a year now with a three camera setup and $99 subscription. Camera so not hold charge as promised, app loses connection to server and my account has been "disconnected" on a few occasions (requiring weeks of emails to CS to get it up and going and my camera are constantly going offline. Super frustrating. In addition, cameras no longer in production and Ooma is out of this line of biz. Folded support into other division and response is terribly slow.

This app is poorly designed, and works poorly in my experience. I would give specific examples of both my design and functionality gripes, but right now (and for the past week) Ooma's servers for this app are not allowing users to log in. Ooma's support representatives, both on email and phone, have been sympathetic. They confirmed the servers are down, but could not provide any actual help or info about when things would work again. I have since bought a Nest camera. While not perfect, its app tends to Just Work, which makes me think I'll gradually transition to that ecosystem. But I still have three Ooma cameras sitting here reminding me of the $500 mistake I made.

don't buy ooma's expensive camera. this software is only good for live stream. all other feature don't work at all. pointless app. The company makes it hard to delete events to force you to subscribe to their pay service

The algorithms need a lot of improvement to be useful. It only records when something triggers it, and it misses pretty much everything. I bought it for use with Airbnb rentals to provide security without being invasive, but most of the time it fails to record even a single notification of any kind when guests visit my home. Ironically, the only person it seems to record is me. The idea is good, but the implementation is terrible. Also, it has no night vision, and only streams video over WiFi.

I've had this less than 30 days and the cameras have gone off line twice. After a couple of weeks of working fine, you can't log in with the same password that worked the night before. The only message is "Error with Login" Calling support, they were very friendly, bu are limited with what can be done. Only resolution is to "change the password". So you go through that drama (passwords must be at least 8 characters and contain a special character)....and you get a "Reset password failed, please check your internet connection" When I called support to get this working, I was greeted to find that 2 of the 3 cameras went off line and had to be manually restarted. Not too easy to do when you aren't at home to restart them.

I've had my Ooma Butterfleye cam for a few days, initial impression is the camera and picture quality is very good, but the app and cloud service needs improvement. - 1) Event feed is very slow to refresh every time the app is opened, would be better if the event feed was sync'd in background. - 2) Recordings start about 5 seconds after the initial movement and are limited to 10 seconds duration. - 3) The live feed can take a looong time to start and has about a 8 to10 second viewing delay. The live feed actually seems to start quicker in the Ooma Home Security app. - 4) The user manual indicates there should be a "Local Network Streaming" option, but the option is not listed in the settings. - 5) Motion notifications can be delayed - I've had a couple arrive 10 to 15 minutes after the event. - 6) No notification if the device goes offline/disconnects from cloud. I've had a few wifi disconnects as reported by my Fing box, and cases where the camera is offline even though wifi and internet connection are okay, but the app only indicated the camera is offline after trying to view the live feed.
