This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing PetTec Pet Feeder on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. It only worked twice and nothing since then... it worked when I first installed it and then one more time. Nothing since then. Completely useless app...

It has completely stopped working. It has always been difficult to set up - I had to manually telnet to the router to completely disable 5Ghz band on my dual band router while adding the device, which finally worked and I could add the device. Many times I open the app, I get the error message "cloud info failed", but somehow it was still working. Then my device was suddenly deleted 2 months ago, and it took several tries (and router hack again) to add it back, Now the device is deleted again (randomly), and after trying for several hours, I just cannot add it again. After resetting WiFi on the device and entering the Wifi password on the app, the progress bar goes from 0 to 99% (painfully slowly), and ultimately fails with "Fail in connecting to device, please reset WiFi and try again". If you ever want to use a feeder for remote operation, stay away from Pettec.

Terrible app, one of the worst I've seen so far unfortunately. Connecting and maintaining the feeder is painful and unpleasant experience. Would never recommend this combo to anyone!

Spent many hours trying to get this app to work. It Does allow me to set up the device, but then says it cannot "connect to cloud" each time I log on then *deletes* the feeder that I had set up. the feeder will then work but I cannot connect again without resetting it all. very frustrating. Concept good. Software poor. Sometimes I get messages in Chinese but I can guess what it means. Tech Support said it was my old phone but now have new Samsung with latest android and still does same.

As previous users mentioned, we now face the same issue. The pet feeders have disappeared from our app/account and have to be manually added by scanning the QR code, which is a bit of an issue when you're on holiday. Completely defeats the purpose. This is unacceptable and I would therefore warn every potential buyer that they run the risk of not being able to feed their pets

Stellen Sie einfach die gewünschte Portionsgröße grammgenau direkt am Display oder sogar von unterwegs mit der App ein und geben Sie die Fütterungszeiten an. Sie können bis zu 5 Mahlzeiten über den Tag verteilen und so dem natürlichen Fressverhalten Ihres Lieblings entgegenkommen. Die gewünschte Futtermenge fällt aus dem Futtertank und die Futterschale fährt zum gewünschten Termin vollautomatisch aus. Per aufgenommenem Stimmsignal wird Ihr Tier angelockt und kann sich über die Portion hermachen. Sie werden außerdem darüber informiert, wieviel gefressen wurde. Sollte Ihr Liebling mal nicht auffressen, fährt die Futterschale samt Futterrest wieder ein und verhindert so unangenehme Gerüche.
