Seems highly redundant relative to the Xpresenter SMART software (which seems to only work with powerpoint). Granted, SMART is very one-application centric, whereas xpointer remote has windows hooks for Daumpot Player, Powerpoint, GOM player, IE, WMP and Youtube, and for OS X: Quicktime, Youtube, Keynote, xbmc, Safari. I've only tested powerpoint so far. The UI for this is different relative to Xpresenter SMART. If you juggle both, it may be a little confusing. It has laser pointer, slideshow start and slideshow advance, but puts the blank screen button in easy reach. Not sure if I'll use this one more than Xpresenter.
