This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Umbra Secure Wallet on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

Umbra allows you to save your passwords in encrypted secrets files.
Secrets files can be shared to and imported from other Apps like Gmail
or Google Drive or similar.

For every secret you can supply
- a secret name
- a user name
- password
- search keywords
- notes.

Once you created a secret, you can
- view, edit and remove secrets
- search by user-name, secret-name, keywords or notes
- copy user-name or password to clipboard
- display the password in clear text.

When viewing secret details, use the action toolbar buttons at the top of the
view, to
- copy the user-name to the clipboard with the "smiley" button
- to copy the secret to the clipboard with the "lock" button.

Further actions can be found via the actions toolbar menu at top-right of the
view.
