So far works okay on LG V35. Unfortunately, powering off the phone disables the camera muting, so for the app to work requires the user to remember to manually activate it before taking pictures each time after the phone is powered on. This is better than having to remember to mute the phone each time you want to take a picture and remember to unmute it after. Definitely less convenient, though, than being able to turn off camera sounds once and have them stay muted permanently.

It works. I have Mi Mix 2 and the camera shutter on apps won't go away. There are camera mute apps that use services but my phone doesn't support services. But this app works. Only feature that the app needs is auto-starting. You have to manually start the app. Developers may add settings for this purpose in my opinion. I recommend it for unrooted roms that doesn't support the camera shutter mute in apps.

It doesn't mute the camera sound. Perhaps it mutes incoming calls and other media to avoid disturbance when taking pictures.

Muted the shutter sound when activated as advertised. But puts a persistent notification on the notifications center. Mutes all other sounds as well, which is annoying. Also, mutes whole phone even when using video calling apps, which is just ridiculous.

Does the job of turning all sound off when camera is open. Would give fifth star if there were the option of turning off only the shutter sound. Edit 12 Jan 20: Have now discovered that the app occasionally becomes disabled, without there being, as it seems to me, a good reason.

App works but it also disables music and everything around what's playing.
