My previous rating was a tad unfair: although this does require more work to make it functional, instead of mildly frustrating, to use - I've marked it up on the basis that there's little else out there, and for the fact that I appreciate how hard it is to get stuff out there in the first place. I can't delete items on my note 10, and the lack of contextual menu when I directly click and hold on an item makes for slower workflow. Also lacking is the ability to click and drag directly on chart.

This outstanding calculator does its jobs in style! The tool has neat and clean interface. Admittance circles, Q values, customizable sweep range - everything is in place. In addition to RLC passives there are also stubs and shorts, as well as transmission line. The only issue (and I admit it's annoying) is that the calculator halts on entering component values, especially when I try to round a value to the nearest number in the E-series. But that's subject to a simple fix - otherwise the calculator is simply the best.

This app seems to have been made in 5 minute. Firstly , i can only enter component values in F or H , not in normalized forms not can i enter the admitance or reactance. Secondly you can not view and edit your circuit at the same time. Thirdly : Why is the start and end impedances hidden in the settings menu? It really needs to be less hidden

I would like to be able to enter a range of starting impedances over a frequency range and be able to view the resulting impedance over a range of frequencies, plotted on the chart and in tabular form.

About this app

This app allows you to design RF impedance matching networks using the classic medium of the Smith Chart. You can set the properties for the chart, build your matching network from a range of components, then view results and see how the network behaves over a frequency range.
