Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing BVI PASSENGER on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Ever had the experience of waiting a long-time for a bus? You are not alone!

The wait is now over with BVI PASSSENGER. Arrive at the bu stop time two minutes before the bus arrives. BVI Passenger pairs with those bus users who use BVI BUS - Driver, to track their current location. The new functionality in the BVI gives you more time to work, study, shop and play.

Though manged and developed by Back Office Vi, the features included in this project were designed by the Fundamental of Business and Marketing Classes of the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College in the Fall of 2016. They were also instrumental in its implementation as part of their class projects.

Allows an application to use location features in hardware, such as the geofencing api.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
